Father's Day - June Class

Hello everyone, quite a busy start to the week. We had another class on Tuesday, where we were making Father's Day Bits. We made a card, a bottle neck tag and a treat bag. Here it is:

The colours we used were : Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip with Wild Wasabi DSP. The ink matched the card and we used the Owl Punch to create these wonderful characters. The dad on the gift bag was used with the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, punched out with the 1.75" circle and then embossed. The backing of the dad bag is the Top Note Die.

Here are the class member's cards - I hope I can remember who did what ;-) apologies if not!

The above card was made by Sacha - I love it how all of them look similar but there are slight details that some wanted to change.

This one was made by Karen, who thoroughly enjoyed the class...and the cake! ;-)

 This one's by Rebecca.
 Linda created this one.
Our newest class goer, Elaine, albeit having a sore tooth, still managed to create this wonderful card.
Unfortunately, I never got round to taking a photo of Mandy's - sorry, I know she used a different stamp to the 'Happy Father's Day' one, but this one is by Ashley, I love the eyes - they're so straight!
This blurry one (sorry) is by Caroline, I love him winking!
And last but not least Ginny, who loved the friend sentiment.

We also had Barbara, who made a very special card for her daughter and her husband for their anniversary - here it is - I think it turned out wonderful.

This is us all getting stuck in, we do enjoy these meetings and you would too, with plenty of tea, cake, chatting and stamping. There are 2 places left, so if you would like to join us for the next class on 12th of July, email me at head-over-heels-by-dlm@hotmail.com.
Until next time (tomorrow!) - thanks for visiting and I'm sure my class members will appreciate any comments.

Because I care...

Hello everyone, this has been scheduled, so hopefully it should work as I am at work. Well this is one of my favourite sets, 'Because I care...' which is a hostess set, so if you like this set, contact me and book a workshop. I can come to your house, where you and your family/friends will enjoy a few hours of crafting as I will provide a couple of projects and I can demonstrate a useful technique or how to use the Big Shot! If you would like to do this, please email me at head-over-heels-by-dlm@hotmail.com

This lovely card is for someone who comes to my card class and has had an operation, so I am going to take it to the class tonight so everyone can sign it and I will send it to her, just to let her know that we all wish her well!

Colours used were Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. The Stamp set is called Because I care, in the stamp set you will also get one hydrangea flower, which I stamped and cut and stuck with a dimensional, not sure if you can see it popping out? I also stuck a tiny pearl on it. Love how this has turned out, does anyone notice the Top Note Die as the background?! Good old Mr Big Shot!
 I'm sure she'll love this,
Until next time thank you for visiting,

A Special Birthday Card

Hello again, I thought I would post this early so I can enjoy the sunshine later. My niece in Malta, Kristina will be 12 this week and so I have made her a very special card. I got the idea from my very talented upline Caroline, I've even used similar colours as all girls like pink. I think this card is one of the reasons that I bought the Top Note Die for the Big Shot.

The main colours I used were Melon Mamba and Whisper White. I love this Top Note...I wonder what I can do next with it...
Until next time, enjoy the sunshine.

Lots of training - making and sharing together!

Hello everyone, first wee of the Easter holidays...where has it gone! As per my last post, last Saturday we had some training with the lovely Monica and Bekka in Peterborough and we all had a fantastic time creating wonderful cards and 3D projects, chatting, drinking tea and eating cake, sharing ideas and best of all swapping our little cards.

These were my swaps, funnily enough Caroline my upline, had the same idea to use tea bags! Great minds think alike I said! So here are my swaps:

Here are the wonderful projects we made, all using products from the mini catalogue, I still have a few, so if you would like one I can send you a copy FREE, just email me at head-over-heels-by-dlm@hotmail.com your address and it will be on your doorstep in no time!

The first one uses the beautiful Nature Walk Stamp Set,

The next uses the Owl Punch and the Top Note Die to cut that wonderful shape which is used as a background:

Hope you can see the Owl is popping out of a box, maybe I should have made him a little happier, he looks slightly confused...bless him!

The last card we made would be idea for a men's birthday card, using the Motorcycle and the Champagne Glass Glitter:

I loved the way we stamped the sentiment onto the Twill, a lovely effect I will be using over and over again!

These are the 3D projects, I love this Easter hanging basket, we used the Scallop Circle Die and then embossed it using the the Vintage Wallpaper and of course the Big Shot.

The last 3D project is so cute and would be ideal for a new mum or nan to carry in her purse, as it's a mini album - it would be great with pictures of a new born in!

If you would like to ask any questions about these projects, please feel free to do so by leaving a comment, I love reading them! Here is a mini slideshow of the day!
