A new baby...

Hello everyone, I have just finished and delivered a lovely card and mini-album to our next door neighbour, who had a gorgeous little girl last week. I love making baby cards, not sure why, maybe it's because I always end up colouring in something which I love!

I got this card idea from Diane and changed the colours. I love the subtle colours, they compliment each other so well. The mini-album is from Bekka, which we made at training last April.

Stamp set - Bundle of Love
Cardstock - Pretty in Pink, So Saffron DSP, Whisper White
Markers/Ink - Regal Rose, Daffoldil Delight and Crumb Cake
Accessories - Decorative Label Punch, Basic Pearls

Isn't the album pretty? I used the Nursery Suite Quick Accents to put more detail on the mini-album. These are like stickers but much thicker and aren't flimsy.

Cardstock - Pretty in Pink, So Saffron DSP
MAccessories - Nursery Suite Quick Accents, Big Shot, Scallop Envelope Die, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in Daffoldil Delight.

I hope you like this project and are inspired by it, I love reading your comments so please do leave some.
I'll be back tomorrow with a Colour Coach Blog Hop, so do pop back!

A Special Birthday Card

Hi everyone, despite not uploading any cards this week I have been busy making some special commissioned cards. This is one of them, a colleague had asked me to this card for someone special. The specifications were not too girly and gardening! Hmm, my wonderful download put me in the right direction, here at Jackie Topa's site. So what do you think, it is actually an A5 card.

Stamp Set - Vintage Vogue, Sweet Summer
Cardstock - Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White,
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories - Jewellery Tag Punch, Ribbon - Pear Pizazz Seam Binding

Hope you like, she absolutely loved it!

Until tomorrow, thanks for visiting.

Father's Day - June Class

Hello everyone, quite a busy start to the week. We had another class on Tuesday, where we were making Father's Day Bits. We made a card, a bottle neck tag and a treat bag. Here it is:

The colours we used were : Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip with Wild Wasabi DSP. The ink matched the card and we used the Owl Punch to create these wonderful characters. The dad on the gift bag was used with the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, punched out with the 1.75" circle and then embossed. The backing of the dad bag is the Top Note Die.

Here are the class member's cards - I hope I can remember who did what ;-) apologies if not!

The above card was made by Sacha - I love it how all of them look similar but there are slight details that some wanted to change.

This one was made by Karen, who thoroughly enjoyed the class...and the cake! ;-)

 This one's by Rebecca.
 Linda created this one.
Our newest class goer, Elaine, albeit having a sore tooth, still managed to create this wonderful card.
Unfortunately, I never got round to taking a photo of Mandy's - sorry, I know she used a different stamp to the 'Happy Father's Day' one, but this one is by Ashley, I love the eyes - they're so straight!
This blurry one (sorry) is by Caroline, I love him winking!
And last but not least Ginny, who loved the friend sentiment.

We also had Barbara, who made a very special card for her daughter and her husband for their anniversary - here it is - I think it turned out wonderful.

This is us all getting stuck in, we do enjoy these meetings and you would too, with plenty of tea, cake, chatting and stamping. There are 2 places left, so if you would like to join us for the next class on 12th of July, email me at head-over-heels-by-dlm@hotmail.com.
Until next time (tomorrow!) - thanks for visiting and I'm sure my class members will appreciate any comments.

Beautiful Baby Blossom Birthday card!

Hello again, What a lovely day it's been here. I made this card a good few weeks ago for Karen, a colleague at work and another for Ginnie, a member of our very popular monthly card class. I love the colours and how very easily with just two colours you can create a very pretty flower.

Ingredients:
Melon Mamba, Wild Wasabi Card stock,
Real Rose, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi Ink,
Pretty in Pink Ribbon
Polka Dots Embossing Folder & Baby Blossom Stamp Set (I hand cut the frame)

I will be holding a class using this set, so if you would like to come along, check out my classes page.

Thanks for visiting,

Wednesday 1 June 2011

Hello everyone...

Hi there, I must send huge apologies for not posting these past couple of weeks. I know some of my frequent visitors look forward to my posts. I was just busy with some Wedding Invites for someone my husband works with. I really enjoyed making them, although they were pretty complex and working to a deadline was added pressure.

Anyway, here is a card for my father-in-law, it's his birthday today and it had to be simple, so I used 'Party this way' stamp set with the Happy Birthday sentiment from the 'Sale-a-bration'. This stamp was in a stamp called 'Punch Bunch' and all 5 stamps have a matching punch. Watch this space as I will be announcing an EXCITING PROMOTION tomorrow, which not only could earn you extra money to spend in the catalogue but could also earn you 1 of these stamps!

I will be uploading a card using the 'Baby Blossom' Set from the New Mini Catalogue tomorrow, so please visit again.
I am back!
