A quick and simple Christmas Card

Hello dear reader,
Today I'm sharing with you another Christmas card, this one is very simple...I cut and embossed these in about 20 minutes and finished them this afternoon whilst at a School's Christmas Fair (I had a stall there, I wasn't going around - Imagine that!) I made about 20!

I love these two colours and I would never have thought they would make the perfect Christmas duo...Real Red and Coastal Cabana!

I'm not sure the photo shows off these two striking colours, but if you do have these, have a go at using them together!

Below is a list of the supplies uses, feel free to click on them, they will take you straight to my online shop!

Until next time,

I'm back with more Christmas Cards...

Hello all, what a busy month I've had and I'm sure I'm not the only one! Hope you're all well and have started your Christmas goodies, be them bought or made!

Today I bring you a very easy yet stylish card that we did this week and our December Card Class.

It uses the new circle label thinlit card dies! They're great and so easy to use!

I love the way it opens and you can display an image and sentiment in two different sides!

All the elements you see here are in the circle label thinlits die, that includes the main card, the scallop circle and stars! This is what you get in the pack...

I'm experimenting with backgrounds, but I think I will stick to white! Below is a list of supplies used, remember you can order these from my online store by either clicking on the item picture itself or go to the top of this blog and on the right hand side there's a shop now button!

See you soon, (sooner than last time I hope!)

Make it Midweek - Another handmade gift idea!

Hello dear reader,

Here I am back with another handmade gift idea, this time it's a scarf using the lovely Katie Tutu yarn.
It's pretty pricey at £9.50 a ball (if you can call it that!) but it will give you one scarf and the best thing is that you can knit it in no time. I think this one took me about 2 hours and I hadn't knitted since Lily was born.

Excuse the photos, no matter how I put it didn't quite look right, maybe I'll take a photo of it on. This is for my aunty Mary who is coming over today from Malta.

Here is a photo of the actual yarn in case you were wondering what it looks like!

I hope you have liked today's project. I also have some special Stampin' Up! news to share, due to there 25th Birthday this month, they have 25 stamp sets with 25% off. Pop over here https://www.facebook.com/headoverheelsbydlm to have a look and get in touch to order yours today!

Make it Midweek! {Handmade gift ideas for you to make!}

Hello reader,

Today I bring you a handmade make, which I hope to inspire some of you into making handmade gifts!
My 'Make it Midweek' aims to bring you a handmade gift to give your friends or family for Christmas. This will  (hopefully) be a regular wednesday post, at least until Christmas! However, this was a birthday gift I gave a dear friend who loves butterflies!!

I used the beautiful Pappillon Stamp Set for the card and the gift box and as I said he loves butterflies so her gift was a lovely pair of matching butterfly earrings...

I used the shrink plastic to make this. I stamped the butterfly in Crisp Cantaloupe, punched it out and also punch out the tiny holes before they went into the oven! Within an hour I had these fab earrings, they are so cute!!

Will you have a go?  A very inexpensive and gorgeous gift to make! IF you do, please find me on my facebook page www.facebook.com/headoverheelsbydlm  and upload your photos, would love to see what you create!

I'll be back i a few days with last night's Scrapbook pages, until then...keep warm!

On to our cards, these are ones we did at our last card class (if you would like to join us, then drop me a line head-over-heels-by-dlm@hotmail.com or text 07821162950).

This card uses a beautiful combination of Wisteria wonder and Poop Party, think this is a photo of one of the class members. I do love the delicate butterfly stamp.

Here is the other, I think this is Catherine's card.

We used the stamp-a-majig to get the butterflies lined up and then did some fussy cutting by hand. Colours on this card were Midnight Muse and Wild Wasabi.

If you have come over from the lovely Joyce, hello...

The paper used is the gorgeous Gingham Garden DSP, slong with the wildflower meadows, with matching embossing folder. The flowers were individually coloured used the marker pens with colours to match the DSP.

Here we made a few special elements, using the new Washi Tape and the new Clay, which I LOVE!!

The clay is so easy to use, you can either mix the ink into the clay or colour them in (which I did) after they're dry!

I will let you go and see the wonderful creations by Erika by clicking here.
