Simply Stampin' Challenge - Punch Art - Anniversary card

Hello everyone, it seems to be brightening up here - fingers crossed!

I woke up and knew that I had to have a go at the simply stampin' challenge, which for this week is Punch Art, beginning of September is a busy month with birthdays and anniversaries, so I thought I'd start with this one - it's going to be for my aunt and uncle who live in Malta and go swimming every day, so this fitted it in nicely!

So here it is, which punches do you think I used?

Stamp Set - Build a blossom
 Designer Series paper
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Tempting Tourqiose, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
Accessories - 2 step Owl punch, Ornament Punch, Extra Large Bird Punch, 3 Heart Punch

So let's see if you guessed right - I used the ornament punch for the fish, the bird punch for the seaweed and the fins/tail. I also used the owl punch for the eyes and the 3 heart punch for the mouth! I love it! I saw this once on the internet, I think her name is Miriam, so thanks for sharing and hope you all like. As always, I love reading your comments!

Back with something totally different!

Hello everyone, I have been very busy lately, not crafting unfortunately but writing my dissertation which I need to hand very soon, so every spare minute I've been sat reading and writing, when I would rather be crafting.
But, yesterday I had a bit of a me day with a pedicure in the morning and learning a new craft in the afternoon - Wet Felt. Oh and I loved it.

I went to Hylands House and met the resident artist there - Lynne. We made a piece of wet felt and then a ball. When I got home I practiced the skills I learnt and made a pair of earrings to go with the top I am wearing today. Here are some photos - it's amazing how from a ball of Morino wool you can make something so wonderful yet so easily! I love it, so than you Lynne.

From the ball of wool to that piece of falt - amazing!
This is the top and below are the earrings I made, I'm so please with how they turned out, for my first go!

I must add a huge thank you to Lynn, do check out her website - http://www.lovefromlynne.co.uk/ and leave a comment would love to know what you think. Hopefully back soon with a few cards.
Until then,

Baby's first birthday!

Hi all, I have been busy with the following album for a boy in the family who is 1 today. I am very pleased with the way it has turned out. I used a 12x12 card and then decorated it using the designer series paper Nursery Suite and accents. I used a mixture of Baja Breeze and Wild Wasabi. Here are a few photos:

This is what it looks like when you open it up, the idea is that they can put photos of when he was 3 months, then 6 months and so on...
This is what it looks like when fully open.
An arty farty photo...

Stamp Set - Bundle of Love, Party this way, small serif alphabet.
Cardstock - Early Espresso, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi
Accessories - Pear Pizazz Seam Binding, Nursery Suite accents and DSP

I hope you like it, they certainly did as we gave it to them earlier at his 1st birthday party! If you would like to know how to make this or buy any products used here, please contact me at head-over-heels-by-dlm@hotmail.com

Until next time, thanks for visiting,

Bird Punch Class

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, we certainly have and yesterday at the monthly card class we were feeling the heat as we completed these 3 fab projects.

Here they are close up -

I just the love colour combo here of Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie.

This one is very simple, using Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery and Whisper white. Can you recognise which part of the bird punch was used here?

The colours used her were Elegant Eggplant and the Certainly Celery.

Here are some pictures of the girls, I was very impressed how everyone managed to finish all 3, so well done to them.

Here are Ashley, Sam and Linda concentrating very hard.

I have more photos to upload but having some technical issues at the mo. So please do pop back to see them and comments are much appreciated.
